Description

"Hidden", a small village in the middle of nowhere.

I started off with a line drawing in Photoshop 7.
This my first matte, which worked without the use of any photo references. I tried to imagine a Lord-of-the-rings styled landscape with an asian touch of architecture.
The original is in a 4k-resolution.

hmm, I guess you did use some reference, this has a bit too much of same concept with Yanick Dusseault's LotR movie matte paintings

As you see, I've painted the perspective manually via Photoshop.

Ouch! When you create interresting landscape and add realistically looking outfit it is hard for me to control my jaws. It is rich for details but decent in colors (which suits for this type of view). Uff!

not bad but i wouldnt call it a matte painting. its far to unrealistic (even if its painted after dussos lotr pic) to get used as matte pic.
